Open Forum

Scanning technology is moving rapidly from high powered scanning stations to hand held devices.  Point cloud (and other) formats can be commissioned or collected by the user.  What techniques and softwares are used to collect 3D data and how can these be used in conjunction with Archicad?  What do we (as architects) need and what do we want from our software.
